Queen's Diamond Jubilee: Wales to host over 300 street partiesThe number of Diamond Jubilee street parties in Wales is set to exceed those which celebrated the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Councils have received 308 applications for street closures in June - 100 more than for Prince William's marriage to Kate Middleton last year.
Rhondda Cynon Taf council received the most in Wales with 58 applications.

Charities receive tickets for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert. More than 100 charities and youth support organisations from all over the United Kingdom have been given tickets to take part in The Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace on Monday 4 June 2012
The charities and youth support organisations, which have Royal patronage, cover a broad spectrum of British life. The majority of the 8,000 tickets are for the standing area in front of the Queen Victoria Memorial with some seated tickets being available to particular charities.
The Queen has given her backing to a series of street parties planned to mark her Diamond Jubilee. The Big Jubilee Lunches will be held across the UK on 3 June to commemorate her 60 years on the throne. They involve neighbours and friends gathering for a traditional street party or a picnic lunch. The Queen sent a letter to the organiser, the Eden Project tourist attraction in Cornwall, saying she was delighted" by the plan.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh intend to travel as widely as possible across the UK to mark 2012's Diamond Jubilee, Buckingham Palace has said. Due to the age of the couple, they will not be travelling abroad but, instead, will be represented by other members of the Royal Household.
The first image has been released of the royal barge that will carry the Queen down the Thames during her Diamond Jubilee celebrations next year. The vessel will lead a 1,000-strong flotilla along the river on 3 June, as the monarch marks 60 years on the throne.
